Help with adding new characters to P3P font

Hello! I'm currently translating P3P to Portuguese, but my language has characters (such as Ç and Á) that aren't found in the P3P font. I've tried to edit the font using Amicitia, change the typeface to add what i need. While using it in the Persona Editor worked, i can't get it to work in game! Any tips on how to solve it?
