Having trouble getting modded P3:FES to work...

I'm pretty sure it's set up right. I modded P4G with no issues. As far as I can tell it's because of the "GSdx" plugin on the emu. My processor doesn't seem compatible. Is there a workaround? I really wanna replay it, but want the mods.
I followed the directions to the letter. The game window pops up for like 3 seconds showing 60-61fps then closes. Idk, driving me crazy I also tried the already set up one from the DL site.
I can run Rust at near max on 1080p, P4G ran 4K 60fps (with mods), etc, but the i5-3470 4 core just doesn't seem up to this.
