You know, these things.

I want to try customizing them but have no idea where they are in the game's files. Assuming they're an asset and not randomly generated by code.

Some text boxes are stored as a collection of points in the eboot, e.g.:

"Main" text box #1 (3 parts):

Other text box parts from the eboot:

If a text box isn't in the eboot, it's probably in one of the *.plg files, e.g. (from chat.plg):

The eboot.. wow. Can that even be modded the traditional way with mod compendium? What app do I extract it with? 7-Zip isn't working (when I have the plugin for .bin file type) and the eboot patching guide here doesn't mention one. Only tells you how to patch the eboot with something else and I'm not trying to do that.
