Mipha’s Grace: A Mod Featuring a revamped BOTW experience!

This mod started on as an add-on to ShrineFox’s Playable Mipha mod created a few years back. This mod is a great way to get started with BOTW modding in general and I highly recommend it. However as time went on and modding tools became more powerful and creative I thought to myself :
“I want to do more!”
Thus an overhaul of the mod itself resulted in the first draft of Mipha’s Grace titled (creatively) “Mipha Events“, which while added to the experience still resulted in a lot of “what if I could do this better?”
Then more time went on and modding tools only got better! Now comes the time to show some teaser shots of the new and improved Mipha’s Grace 2.0 which combines the two mods into a single overhaul pack.
This mod is a combination of multiple modders work but the three I would like to highlight are:
PeregrineHBG: Myself, in charge of physics, animations, rigging and event editing.
King Feraligatr: Text overhaul including journal entries and weapon/armor entries
Purple-Wanderer: Custom models, check the images for examples of their work!
Other modders/artists I would like to highlight: LynardKiller, SofiaHarley, AmberClover, ShrineFox and many many others!
What will be included?
- Mipha’s default model being used instead of Link’s.
- Custom Animations
- Complete text overhaul (Original draft written by myself, overhaul in 2.0 done by King Feraligatr)
- Custom armors/refits to Mipha’s model!
- Voice acting changes for Zelda (saying Mipha’s name instead of Link’s)
- Voice acting for Mipha (Some Age of Calamity clips will be used but far from all)
- 3x Electric Weakness and 1.5 Thunder weakness (may be tweaked later for balance)
- Innate Waterfall climbing for every armor
- And more!
Note that some of these items such as voice acting may not come till later down the pipeline.
Sadly while BOTW modding has come over in leaps in bounds there are still some hurdles that Mipha faces that other mods such as Linkle and Zelda do not: the ragdoll.
The ragdoll still uses Link’s proportions which means that certain animations such as gliding distorts her hips resulting in a messed up model. While the .hkrg files are finally able to be opened and edited the internals are not well-documented at this time. If anyone has experience working with havok ragdoll please message me!
As for the custom models, we’ve only been able to recently combine multiple physics in an easy format which means they are finally taking off! Mipha’s head physics meant that a lot of previous armors (such as the Sheikah scarf) wouldn’t work in the way I wanted them to. That is no longer an issue!
I just rigged a hat last night that had three skeletons inside (spooky)!
Animations are doable but due to a large number of animations that need tweaking a more streamlined process will need to be created.
I am expecting some speed up once some friends are done with the upcoming Linkle 3.0 release but I am not forcing them to work on this 😉 If anyone has modding experience or is willing to learn BOTW modding tools and 3DS MAX 2020 I would love to teach you!

We have a #Mipha’s Grace channel!
While Zelda’s voice can be edited and AI trained, Mipha does not have enough voice clips to do the same. That means I would be looking for a voice actor for Mipha. These are replacing Link’s vocalizations and I don’t believe you have to actually say a single word, just a lot of yelling and grunting (just A LOT of it) ! Please DM me if you are interested in volunteering!
